INGREDIENTS: For Stuffing: • 2 potatoes: boiled, peeled & mashed • 1 finely chopped green chilli • 1 tsp grated ginger • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped • ½ medium sized onion, finely chopped • ¼ tsp turmeric powder • salt to taste • ½ tsp red chili powder • ½ tsp cumin seeds • 1 pinch of hing • ½ tsp aamchur powder
For Batter: • 1 cup besan • ¼ cup rice flour • 1 tsp red chilli powder • ½ tsp turmeric powder • pinch of hing • salt to taste • ¼ cup water (or as required to prepare batter) • pinch of baking soda
Other ingredients: • 4 large bhavnagri mirchi • Puvi Cold pressed groundnut oil for frying
PREPARATION: • Take besan, rice flour, chili powder, haldi, hing and salt. mix well. • Add water and make a smooth batter. • Also add a pinch of baking soda and mix. • Now, take mashed potatoes, green chili, ginger, coriander leaves and onion. • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, Cumin, aamchur, salt and hing & mix well. • Slit green chili at the centre and remove seeds. • Now stuff the potato stuffing into the chili. • In a deep pan, heat Puvi cold pressed Groundnut oil. • Dip the stuffed chili into besan batter, coat and deep fry in the heated oil till golden brown. • When done, strain out of the oil & serve hot.
