Our Sesame oil is our 'Signature Dish'! PUVI
cold pressed Sesame oil is less dense, not too pungent, smoother than others
and while still being potent. It’s made from hand-picked special black seed
varieties superior to those used in most brands.
Our Groundnut oil is a
special and our best-seller, loved and used by thousands of customers across
the country as a healthier alternative for refined oils. It is made from
specifically chosen expensive varieties that have the best aroma and health
value.
Cold Pressed oil is extracted from nuts and seeds at temperatures not exceeding 50 degrees Celsius. There is no addition of any solvent to increase the Oil production or any other artificial methods. Due to lower temperature of extraction, Cold Pressed Oils are rich in nutrients, flavour and aroma. On the contrary, during the production of Refined Oils, excessive heat and chemical solvents are used which enhance the production. However, in the process the refined oils lose the nutritional values.
Puvi Cold Pressed Oils are extracted from superior quality seeds that are not malformed. As the oil is extracted using the Cold Pressing methods, the amount of oil extracted is substantially low compared to the refined oils that are extracted using high temperatures. Maintenance of the superior quality of oils increases the cost of production which makes Puvi Cold Pressed Oils a bit high priced than the unhealthy refined oils.
At the time of cold pressing, little bit of water is added to the seeds to keep the temperature low so that the nutritional value, flavour and aroma of the oil is retained. This caused the oil to froth, when heated. To reduce the froth try adding a little bit of Tamarind while heating the oil. Once the oil is heated, remove the tamarind and continue with your cooking as usual.
Litre is a measure of volume while Kg is the measurement of weight. And, depending on the density of the liquid the amount of litres in 1 Kg differs from one to another. For example, while 1-litre Groundnut oil weighs approx. 900gm, 1-litre water weighs equal to 1 Kg of water.
