MAKING WHOLE WHEAT MALPUA
Step 1.
First, grind the peppercorns and heat 1/2 cup water and sugar in a deep, shallow pan for three minutes. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and set it aside to cool.
Step 2.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wide pan over medium heat. In the liquid mixture, now combine flour, fennel seeds, powdered peppercorn, and 40 ml of water.
Step 3.
When the oil is hot, add a ladleful of batter and fry it till golden. After the malpua is ready, place it on a plate and cook the remaining malpuas in the same way. Serve them with Rabdi or Kesar masala milk and garnish with some pistachios. Enjoy!
